Traveling and Kino Mutai

Today has been abit epic! And as it was fathers day poppa bear decided to go all out and rape the bbq with horrific amounts of meat - which i did not object to ;).

Even though today was massivly epic, i miss "lazy sundays", lounging around and not doing anything! today i had training from 10 till 2 followed by fun mma homework 8), yes, it exists lol. however, as i had been training so much mma, for a hour with Chris, the head coach of PFS stafford - instead of training strictly MMA i decided to train Kino Mutai (a subsect of Fillapino Kali) which he always refers to when talking about PFS.

First off, Kino Mutai ("The Art Of Mauling ;)) is probably the most brutal, horrific, violent, masterful martial art ever divised. Chris broke it down for me like this, "on a scale of 1 - 10 (Skill wise) pure striking or grappling arts would be a 6, MMA would be a 7, High levels of those arts would be a 8 and the use of weapons would be a 9. Kino Mutai is probably the only fight discipline that is truly a 10.

PFS use Kino Mutai in there street fighting system as from what i have learnt and read up on it is mainly about defending yourself/premptivly attacking your opponent. its almost MMA, however you can eyepoke/gouge, bite and low blow if you want to. as you can do all of these things the game changes from mma to a real ugly fight. one funny thing i learnt in Kino is how to bite properly. thats right, theres massive skill in biting! also where to attack on the body, and how to tear chunks off, scary stuff right?! haha. Kino Mutai was a massive breath of fresh air. was nice to learn a new martial art, well. start learning it. even though it has no practical competitive application, it is easliy the best self defence style out there. That and if somebody hits you and you defend yourself by raking an eye out whilst tearing half there face off via biting it to shreds they will think twice about hitting you again, even if they have 2 or 3 mates ;).

On a none martial art note :P i booked my train tickets for London to watch 2 plays at the lift festival for my dissy! boooo. lol, and also my hotel room for my london trip to see budge/brighton and dom. Good times i think!

I WONT BE ABLE TO TRAIN FOR LIKE 4 DAYS THOUGH! OH NO! haha. oh well ;)
